Meet the Council |

The Pokanoket Tribe has voted on the disposition of the Council. All previous Council of Seven members have been relieved of their positions in the Tribe effective 21 October 2006. During the month of March 2007, an Interim Council has been constructed and unanimously voted in. This Interim Council will assist in rebuilding the positions vacated and are fully employed in Tribal business. The positions vacated were Powwas (vice-president), Sachem, Secretary and Two Directors. For obvious reasons their names are not mentioned here. White Eagle Deer is still President by unanimous vote of the Tribe.
