The Seven Crescents
The Seven Crescents are unique to Pokanoket. It is the official insignia of the Royal House of Pokanoket.
The first color YELLOW, represents the Great Spirit The next color is RED the color of mankind’s blood When you mix the color of the Great Spirit (YELLOW) with the color of man (RED) you get the next color which is life The next color is ORANGE the color of life The next color is BLUE the color of earth Now you add the Great Spirit YELLOW again When you mix the color of earth (BLUE) with the color of the Great Spirit (YELLOW) you get the next color The next color is GREEN the color of vegetation. Last, we mix all these colors and get PURPLE the great mystery, death
